TSUBASA
Bicycles is headquartered in Lithuania,Edvinas obtained two degrees in his early studies (one in design and the other in architecture).
He also spent some time in the aerospace industry learning to work with composite materials before starting building bicycles.
Edvinas Vavilovas first worked in a bicycle frame factory, but also restrained his passion and ideas for bicycles. After many years of collaborating on construction projects, he longed to find autonomy.
Edvinas decided to follow a lonely path and finally founded Tsubasa in 2011.
Allowing him to combine his passion for cycling, his previous experience in composites and his academic and practical knowledge.
Tsubasa is the Japanese word for "wing". Perhaps Edvinas has an aerospace background and a desire for flight and freedom. "CROW" can also be seen on the current model frame.
Edvinas uses a variety of carbon fibers, many of which are high-modulus, high-grade carbon fibers, and some are military-grade.
He has a great eye for materials and will refine the selection based on the final specifications of the frame.
This also includes homemade carbon fiber tubes.
